Our entry into the Hop Quest 2019 beer challenge saw many entries from some of Australia’s best breweries. IIPA’s, NEIPA’s, IPA’s, Milkshake IPA’s etc. Our take on it was to do something sour, as that is an area of brewing we know extremely well. The result was a triple dry hopped kettle soured NEIPA – TDH SNEIPA.Why triple dry hopping? It allows us to achieve a more permanent haze, as well as providing that lush, juicy, aroma and flavour.Why sour? Our kettle sour process provides a distinct citrus note, which we felt would complement the juicy character of this beer.Our selection of hops were also chosen to provide a wonderful juicy character - Wakatu, Galaxy, Enigma and Taiheke. This beer won the champion beer of Hop Quest 2019.Jeepers Creepers is juicy & hazy; almost like fruit juice! The acid plays a great role in enhancing the juice character.
