Batch #500 - Maple Barrel-Aged

In order to celebrate our 500th batch brewed here in Berlin, we decided to do something a little special. We started with one of the richest base beers to date utilizing a variety of specialty malts. We then aged this in a fifteen gallon bourbon barrel which previously held local CT maple syrup. The resulting beer is incredibly dense and palate coating, reminiscent of chocolate covered maple candies.
