At The Brothers Brewery we don’t brew a special Easter beer. In stead, we get right to thinking about the national seafarers’ holiday. We decided to brew a new limited edition beer each year, dedicated to one of the more famous “heroes of the sea”. This year we honour a sailor who’s known by the nickname Raggi Togari, or Raggi The Trawler. A lot of care and effort went into this beer: we soaked an oak spiral in whiskey for a few weeks and then immersed it in the beer for another few weeks during the fermentation process. We took the result to the Hólar Beerfest in 2016, our first time there, and took home first prize, as the festival guests voted it to be their favourite.
