Adding to our Pine trees of East Texas, the Shortleaf is a medium bodied and complex array of Piney notes throughout the senses. Packed with hops that bring out the best pine notes in the nose, the body and the finish, this East Texas IPA is sure to please those looking for a more traditional IPA.Occuring in the uplands of East Texas, most common in the hilly portions of Northeast Texas, the Shortleaf Pine grows side by side with Loblolly and Longleaf pines in the region known as the Pineywoods. This important tree is one of the first to come back, sprouting from its base, after fires.
