Freeze-concentrated cherry mead aged in Woodford Reserve (Double Oaked) bourbon barrels for 8 months.There are still undiscovered paths in the world of meadmaking. As it wasn't ridiculous enough to freeze-concentrate the fruit portion of a no-water melomel to make Stevnsberry CRYO, we ended up taking it up a notch, filling a bourbon barrel with it as well. The barrel was previously used to age the highly acclaimed and flavorful Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.The result is an insane saturation of both barrel, cherries and honey. It's extremely velvety and surprisingly drinkable.
