This seriously special beer from barrel 1371 got its culture from our very first barrel aged homebrew beer back in 2015!Engineer is a 5.8% Puncheon Barrel Aged Tart Farmhouse Ale with loads of lemon and funk on the nose.It spent 11 months in oak, then another 11 months conditioning in bottles.We initially were unhappy with the beer. After giving it some time in the tank we actually dumped almost all of it!We bottled a little as an experiment to see what would happen, and after 6 months, the bottles started showing us their beauty!Beer doesn't always work like this. But we sure are glad that we kept a small amount from that big batch!
