We named our ever-changing series of IPAs “Cheater Hops” in their honor. We are honest brewers, that’s why we can admit when we cheat!Riwaka has great flavor, but bad agronomics. For a decade low crop yields made it almost impossible to buy. Luckily a more robust lineage was recently identified and propagated. In this IPA, Riwaka’s intense notes of grapefruit pith and overripe tropical fruit are balanced by the brighter aromatics of Citra.
