Tremlett's Bitter is arguably the best cider apple Devon has ever produced. Arising sometime in the late 19th century, Tremlett's is a supremely tannic apple that has a vicid rich, rosy red apple flavour in the mid palate. We have three much loved old standadrd trees on the farm and whilst they are now heavily biennial, when we do get a crop, the cider is fantastic. This cider fermented in an American oak cask for six months, after racking it was matured in a neutral container.
