I have to confess, the first time Dean described this one to me (it's a "tropical stout") I said "that's crazy".Weeks later, when I actually tried it, I told him "that's crazy".In the first instance, "that's crazy" had meant "are you stupid, a stout with sweet tropical flavours would be disgusting". In the second instance, it had meant "OMG these fully-integrated tropical flavours are blowing my mind"... which serves to illustrate the importance of context when decoding the ambiguities of our contemporary English vernacular.Please note: there is nothing crazy added to this beer. This amazing flavour has been achieved through weird yeast and an unusually high fermentation temperature. So once again: Science.
