Our stout game continues to rumble away in the background, building up traction slowly but surely and winning a solid fanbase of drinkers who love when we take a walk from the well beaten track of pale and hoppy. Having seen out the end of 2022 with two ends of the scale in an Barrel-aged Imperial and more sessionable Oat Porter, our brewers wanted to embrace the less in-your-face sibling of the Imperial variety, and the result is Lost Dark Magic; a no-frills, straight up stout. Letting the malt do the talking here, we’ve loaded this beer to the nines with Crystal Dark, DRC, Chocolate, Red Rye Crystal and Roasted Wheat to create a stout with bold coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted notes, before a whisper of bitterness checks in from a 10kg addition of Columbus in the whirlpool.
