Do you know what is more perfect than Lagers? Wood-aged Lagers. And do you know what is more perfect than Wood-aged Lagers? Chris Hemsworth baby birding garlic butter dipped artichoke leaves into your mouth so you don't have to pull each leaf yourself. But since he won't return our DMs, we're left with Brick & Timber, a Birchwood-aged Pilsner that took levels of planning and forethought that we are rarely willing to invest in anything. After running about two dozen tests aging this German Pilsner with various types of wood, one boldly stood out amongst everything else, like a shirtless Chris Hemsworth slathered in a warm béarnaise. Taking what we think is a supremely great German Pilsner with all of the classic flavors of graham cracker, Irish malted bread, light citrus blossom, wheat thins, and delicate green grass, then aging on birchwood we see this beer mellow out and meld, picking up flavors of yellow cake and mellow woodiness that are so over the top delicious you'd think Chris Hemsworth wrung out his gym shirt into a baby bottle and was feeding it to you while humming Darude's Sandstorm into your freshly nibbled ear.
