We’ve got the old box of tricks out to decorate our favouritist time of the year. In a blended approach to the festive season we’ve gone with a Bourbon Barrel Aged RIS integrated with a pastry style Maple Stout. The result is a little of both worlds and a whole lot of Christmas miracle.The maple hits you up front, with that sweetness and burnt caramel like aroma. Underneath is a complex treat of rich toffee, chocolate and bourbon notes. The flavour is full and sweet, balanced with the black malt acidity and with some bitterness and a dry oak finish. It’s big, it’s sweet, it’s a lot, but it’s balanced and drinkable.
