Beginning as a robust golden ale brewed with local Mecca Grade malts, Fruta Bomba was then fermented on papaya with wild brettanomyces yeast in freshly emptied tequila barrels. In addition to vivid tequila character, this complex wild ale layers on notes of caramel, dried fruit, and ripe papaya, finishing with a gentle, balancing acidity.
