This saison was aged in Chardonnay wine barrels for more than one year, and refermented on local, whole blackcurrants grown in the Twenty Valley.Barrels of mature buckwheat saison with French hops displaying notes of lime zest and dried herbs form the base of this blend. The long rest upon blackcurrants brings forward the fruit’s signature acidity, bright berry notes and deep earthiness.Blackcurrants for Bells was inspired by the tradition of the Kir Royale cocktail, a mix of crème de cassis and white wine. On the nose and palate, it is everything we love about blackcurrants.We prefer to decant off the yeast and enjoy in a white wine glass.
