90’s DSH DIPA|CLUB release #57|Synth Hops – Simcoe|Simcoe Cryo|Galaxy|Citra|Citra Cryo|Music pairing – Gary Numan (Albums:Splinter & Intruder)|Visual pairing – Carlito’s Way (1993)|After revisiting Cocktail for one of the August pairings, we wanted to continue the New York vibes. It was the downtown inspiration which led us to the amazing Carlito’s Way. It’s set around a decade before Cocktail and of course, is a much darker movie, but that allowed us to toy with the hop presentation. The beer leans in on the Simcoe and Galaxy hops, giving it a danker, darker aroma – a perfect match for the film.
