Cogétama Blond

This name deserves some explication. Once upon a time, nobody might have known Knesselare outside the village itself, but Cogétama was a household name in Flanders and beyond.The cigarfactory with the cigar-smoking Indian was quite famous, with cigarsmokers and collectors for the sometimes spectacular cigar bands with native Amerindian. Factory closed 1983, but in 2017 a rememberance fest was organised. Hildegard (Urthel) made a commemorative beer, and Bas (Basset gin) a dito gin.
