You can take a lot of lessons from it, some are profound, whilst others less so … such as the one conjured up by our Brewers for the next Shift Brewer’s Stash.You ready for their rationale? Here goes:“Pushing the boundaries doesn’t always mean going big. For this Shift Brewers Stash beer we’ve pushed back the other way. We asked our brewers to come up with a beer suited to the winter months, that is flavour packed but with a reduced ABV (alcohol). The result is a Session Black IPA. Big malt character, big hops hit, big flavour but small ABV (3.9%). Perfect for a wintery Sunday arvo”.Now here’s the corker. The Brewer responsible for delivering the “Goliath” is named (insert drum roll here)… David. Yep. True story.
