a 4.5% German Pils, decoction mashed with single-hop German Mittelfrüh, brewed with a long boil and lagered for extraordinary 45 days for a very smooth finish. Crisp, hoppy, and refreshing.Decoction Mashing basically involves removing part of the mash (hot water and grain) and reboiling it, then returning it boiling to the mash to increase the temperature of the main mash. It’s labour intensive process popular amongst smaller German brewers who feel it gives a uniquely delicous flavour to lagers.
