Описание
Created in the winter of 1943 by chef Joe Sheridan at Foynes Port near Limerick, Ireland. Sheridan opened a restaurant to accommodate weary travelers as Foynes Port served as a heavily-trafficked civilian layover for transatlantic flights during WWII. As legend goes, after weather turned back a U.S. bound flight for an extra night, a sympathetic Sheridan whipped up something special. A wowed American asked, “Hey Buddy, is this Brazilian coffee?”, to which Sheridan replied, “No. That’s Irish Coffee” and then disappeared saying nary another fucking word. >: [(that last part isn't true)
