Lost cities and nations have been the admiration of many explorers, writers and film makers over the years. One of the most prominent cities was El Dorado, the City of Gold from ancient Musica myth. We took inspiration from this myth in creating our newest IPA. City of Gold is a New England style DIPA, featuring all things “golden”. Brewed with Golden Promise malt, honey and of course, El Dorado hops. The beer features El Dorado hops in the kettle, and later a big double dry hop charge to showcase the flavor of this American hop. The beer pours a hazy golden orange color, and explodes with aromas and flavors of juicy mandarin orange from the El Dorado hops, soft juicy stone fruit from the from the yeast, and a slight dryness from the honey.
