Inspired by the smoked märzen from Bamberg, Bål og Brand is part of our three beers celebrating the Oktoberfest. We used beech smoked barley malt from Bamberg to provide the smokey notes as well as some dark caramel malt and a touch of roasted barley for sweetness and color.An often overlooked and forgotten style that we still enjoy drinking ourselves, so we decided that the Oktoberfest would be a great excuse to put a rauchbier in cans.
