Ramos Gin Fizz inspired hard seltzer.Brewed with Meyer lemon & Tahitian lime juice, orange blossom water, elderflower, vanilla beans, Juniper berries, coriander, lemon zest & orange zest.Dry Shake is our take on / riff of / inspired by the classic cocktail, the Ramos Gin Fizz - characterized by bright lemon & lime balanced with moderate sweetness and complex gin notes, a creamy and silky smooth mouthfeel, and towering foamy head. The “dry shake” is when the drink is shaken without ice, a critical part of the recipe.Our seltzer base is remarkably neutral and clean on its own, providing a perfect canvas to build flavor. We started by infusing some classic gin botanicals: Italian juniper berries, Indian coriander seed, orange zest, and lemon zest until we achieved a “gin cocktail” level of intensity. We then continued building the cocktail with Meyer lemon, Tahitian lime juice, and orange flower water. From here on a bit of improvising was in order, as we can’t exactly add heavy cream and egg whites (from the original drink) to a canned beverage. To emulate the cream, we opted for small additions of vanilla beans and elderflower, to bring a bit of roundness and complexity. Finally, a touch of all-natural food thickener (made from seaweed and sometimes used to enhance beer foam) acts as a vegan and package-friendly alternative to the egg white, providing extra silky mouthfeel and a nice fluffy head, completing the appearance!
