Crocodile Queen

We brewed Crocodile King with our good friends Boxcar Brewery back in 2021. An old-school Barley Wine, big, rich, and lashing of English hops. Brewed with Chevalier malt and flaked barley and heavily hopped with low-aroma UK hops, to give it just enough bitterness for closure. This luxurious Barley wine has upfront aromas of peach, apricot, and light caramel. The body is big with flavours of candied orange, toffee, and panettone. Sweet, clean, and gently warming on the finish. Norty!We put some of this in Amarone barrels, which is now our Crocodile QueenCrocodile Queen is a Barrel-Aged Barley Wine. Rich, decadent, and unapologetically big. Sending you the best of honeyed peaches, supple caramel, and creamy vanilla.After Crocodile King was fermented we aged some in an Amarone barrels, a type of heavy Italian red wine, for 18 months before packaging. The barrel ageing provides lots of vanilla and creamy oak flavoursThis beer is made with Water, malt, hops and yeast, no adjuncts, no flavourings. And we think it tastes all the better for it.
