Black Pope - Peru El Palto Coffee and Tahitian Vanilla Beans Rum/Bourbon Barrel Aged

For the base beer we chosed a coffee from Peru (El Palto), roasted by our local coffee roastery Crossroast in Antwerp. We added 24kg of freshly roasted beans and 1kg of Vanilla beans from TahitiThen we aged this beer for 1 year on Barbados Rum and Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrels. 1 month before bottling we added 1kg of fresh coffeebeans and some vanilla to each barrel to bring back the sweet coffee punch back, that we so like in our coffee stouts!!
