We are stoked to be one of the breweries asked to collaborate with Blind Jack's in Knaresborough for their forthcoming anniversary celebrations!A few weeks ago, the Blind Jack's team joined Alex, our Senior Brewer, in the depths of the brewhouse to create a one-time brew of Metcalf's Golden Best. Named after Blind Jack himself (John Metcalf was the original landlord back in the 1800's), this 3.9% dream of a pint combines pale and crystal malts with torrefied wheat, before being hopped in the underback with Goldings and Cascade. Lifted by Ernest and a smidge of Simcoe in the dry hop, the resulting beer boasts a soft, luxurious maltiness with sweet citrus fruit notes. It's a deliciously refreshing and balanced pint, getting better with every gulp.
