Original 7 Beverage Co. begins its Barrel Aged Series with a traditional Irish Extra Stout. This was brewed using Irish Ale Malt, flaked oats, malted wheat, roast barley and dark crystal malts for a fullbodied beer with strong coffee and dark fruit flavours, with a dark chocolate and coffee aroma.Our friends in The Jameson Distillery in Midleton decanted 6 ex-bourbon casks of Jameson Whiskey before delivering them straight to Head Brewer, Páidi Scully, to fill with our Irish Extra Stout.Our Irish Extra Stout has aged for 6 months in these casks, picking up some of the recognisable characteristics of Jameson Irish Whiskey such as caramel, vanilla, nuttiness and a little spice.
