Monachus Barrel Series #2Limited to 350bottles.2020 Monachus XII quadrupel aged on barrel for 90 days. The barrel was previous used for bourbon and had a second use with cognac. When pouring the beer you'll end up with a dark ruby-ish beer, medium head and soft carbonation due to refermentation in bottle. You immediately smell plenty of cognac with a bit of woody bourbon in the background. When taking your first sip, you notice a pleasant, slightly sweet, alcohol heat. The taste buds will be spoiled with caramel, raisins and black fruits. A soft, slightly dry coffee / woody taste when swallowed.
