What happens when you add more hops than one should theoretically do? Let’s find out! With well over 25g/L of hops in this recent experiment, the saturation point has been surpassed. Additions of mash hops, first wort, boil, whirlpool, active fermentation, and a double post-fermentation dry hop cover all the bases. Was it responsible? No. Was it economical? Hell no! Was a fun? Without a doubt. But throughout the process, we learned many lessons and ended up with this monstrosity. Proudly pouring with more haze than your grandmother’s freshly squeezed orange juice boasting strong notes of mango, citrus, and papaya.
