Shiraz Sour Ale

A Limited Release Collaborative Project specially brewed for the Grampians Grape Escape with the legends at Black & Ginger Wines in Great Western.What a fun project it was too! The Shiraz Grapes were first pressed at Black & Ginger Wines , then we let the juice sit on the skins overnight to induce more of that bright vibrant colour. The following day we gave them an extra press at the brewery to draw out the remainder of the juice before adding it to our kettle sour in the fermenter. The resultant beer is a vibrant and fresh sour ale that's not overly tart or sweet, and sits nicely in the middle, with fresh berry flavours carrying nicely through to the end from the Shiraz fruit.
