Inspired by Flemish oud bruin, the style from Northeastern Belgium often considered an “introductory sour” as the hit of sour up front quickly gives way to an elegant and sweet finish. Through a 14-month mixed fermentation, Live Long Nhãn Prosper builds this traditional sweetness with dried longan, a hefty dollop of raw Hưng Yên longan honey, and oak soaked in longan rice wine to smooth everything into a uniquely Vietnamese take on this centuries-old style.
