Developed from 2024's Lichtenhainer Prototype, Callisto is our take on this historic, smoky-sour style from Thuringia, Germany. A blend of lager, wheat, and rauch styles, lichtenhainer is a cult classic for its complex take on the summer quencher.Callisto features the same refreshing core with a slightly tweaked malt bill: we've dialed up the pear-smoked malt significantly and pulled back on the oak, giving the beer a fruitier, softer edge while keeping the characteristic interplay of delicate smoke aroma, tangy acidity on the palate, and a classic wheat finish.
