Three on a match was a superstition among soldiers in the muddy Belgian trenches of World War I. Matches were in short supply so were often shared. The superstition goes that if a match was struck in the trenches shared the first man would alert a sniper, the second would give him a chance to aim and third would take the shot.This Belgian Brown Ale is inspired by Belgian history and brewing tradition with a modern twist, brewed with dates and palm sugar for added depth and complexity.
