It is with great joy and pride that we present you our new recipe "Weka". A delightful NZ Pils with generous amounts of New Zealand hops "Motueka".Motueka is a town in New Zealand's south island, near the mouth of the Motueka River on the west coast of the Tasman Bay. It is the second largest town in the Tasmania region and is surrounded by crops of apples, pears, kiwi as well as crops of specialty hops. The name Motueka, or more correctly Motuweka, comes from the Maori language and means weka island. The weka, also known as the Maori chicken, is a large, brown flightless bird and has a notoriously perky and quirky personality. The "Motueka" hopscotch formerly known as the Belgian Saaz or B Saaz, is one of New Zealand's foremost. It was developed by the HortResearch Institute and is the result of the marriage of a Saaz hops and an anonymous New Zealand executive."Weka" is a rich, aromatic, fruity pilsner with 5.1% ABV and is waiting for you to discover it... Cheers aka Kia ora!!! ??????
