First Green is Gold is our latest collaboration with Fruition Brewing out of Watsonville, CA. This oak BA Flanders-style ale features the same yeast strain used to make Everything Gold May Stay, our other collab with Fruition—which is a blend of mixed ferm cultures created over a decade ago by our Co-Founder, Winslow and his long-time friend, David of Fruition. We aged this beer for 16 months in red wine oak barrels before infusing it with 500 pounds of organic plums from Mission-Trail Ranches. The plums offer sweet, slightly tart characteristics that are beautifully complemented by the Mosaic Cryo's tropical and citrus fruit notes. With tastes of plum, fig, sweet Rainier cherry, and nectarine, this one is a must-try. Cheers to making beer with friends!
