This top fermented beer is based on the West Coast IPA, a beer style with a typical sweet, sugary taste followed by a smooth, hoppy finish. We've added 20% rye to the grain bill resulting in a fuller taste with a spicy twist.The name is inspired by the poem of Robert Burns that in turn was the inspiration for one of the most influential books of the previous century, The Catcher in the Rye.
