Of the Farm: Black Razz

Our “Of the Farm” ciders are made from apples and other fruits that are grown on and around the once homestead of the great American author, John Updike. Starting with a dry cider base, we loaded this one with native Black Raspberries to bring you a shockingly fun beverage. It pours a deep deep purple-red, almost reminiscent of a red wine in appearance, and at first sip, the sweet-tart of ripe Black Raspberries coats the palate. Dark fruit dominates, and a tannic finish brings that wine-like character back into view. Take a sip, and imagine running through the fields in the hot summertime, pausing to snack on the delicious fruit ringing the fields - just like one of our great local authors once did.
