One of our favourite lager styles is the humble Schwarzbier. A low abv, mellow dark malt flavors, solid noble hoppiness, and delicate cold fermentation character - it’s got so many things we love. Schwarzbiers are one of those beers that can either make you pause and think, or make you relax and forget. We brewed this one with German Pilsner and roasted malts, hopped it with Opal and Saaz, and fermented it cold and slow.Notes of summer haymaking, cacao nibs, coffee that stays fresh all day somehow, homemade sandwich bread, and also some homemade cola.
