The Waiheke Brewing Company IPAye is the pirate of Waiheke brews, sailing in with a 5.3% ABV and two hop cannons- Rakau and Wai-iti. The first sip hits with tropical fruit and stone fruit vibes, like a mango and apricot got marooned on an island together. There’s a nice undercurrent of citrus and a little pine, giving you that classic IPA swagger, but smoother than a pirate’s sea shanty. It’s bold without walking the plank into bitterness, you’ll be saying “Aye, I’ll have another!”
