For fresh hop season we decided to brew 2 beers this year. We thought a farmhouse ale would be a nice way to celebrate this year's hop harvest. The base beer is a red ale made with all Canterbury malt, fermented out with a blend of brewers yeast and brettanomyces. Dry hopped with fresh nectaron. Some overripe fruity esters from the brett (and a little funk) and some light pepper phenols from the saison yeast complement the big dank notes from the green nectaron hops.
