23.01.73 (Dark Ale)

Despite being an IPA this beer is black, which is a reference to the volcanic ash which covered our town after the eruption on the date which the name refers to. The idea for this beer came to us after we held a Facebook poll for a good name for an IPA. We loved this name, but it didn’t fit the beer we were brewing at the time. We decided to use one of our favourite chocolate malts and put together this Black IPA: 23.01.73.
