RISLUIE, named after the Rusluie, the early inhabitants of Vriezenveen that set up a trading channel with St. Petersburg Russia in the beginning of the 18th century. People were traveling with horse and carriage over 2000 km on a regular basis. Like these people the beer is strong and tough. This Russian Imperial Stout is thick like syrup, liquid rosted gold! Flavors of chocolate and coffee with a robust bitterness and tones of vanille and tonka beans far away.
