This decadent stout is the result of great things coming together. The beer started as a long boil, double-mash stout designed for barrel-aging, before spending 19 months in a combo of Weller 12-year and Elijah Craig 20-year bourbon barrels. To that we added a healthy dose of wild Thai bananas, flaked coconut, Comoros vanilla beans, and Honduran cacao nibs. The banana and coconut lay a rich and creamy foundation, with just enough cacao presence for balance, and the marshmallow-y vanilla bringing everything together. Mellow bourbon notes wind through from the aroma all the way to a rich warming finish.This beer is the third Advocator-exclusive stout for our 2022-2023 membership.
