Cowarne Red is a historic Herefordshire variety, originating in the village of Much Cowarne in the mid 1700s. It was prized primarily for producing very large but easy to manage trees, rather than outstandinf quality juice.However, the cider is very drinkable with a pleasant medium body and gentle finish.
