Farmhouse-style Ale Aged in Oak Foudre w/ Dragonfruit & Passionfruit. There is no arguing the fact that we love passionfruit here at Mikkeller - the explosive tropical aroma, zippy tartness, and dynamic layers of flavor make it such a versatile fruit in brewing! We took our ever evolving foudre beer and dosed it with a moderate volume of passionfruit puree, and dragonfruit puree. What is dragonfruit you say? They are the melon sized alien egg looking pink things in the produce section. They have a very subtle flavor, but go so well with other tropical fruits, as they provide notions of soft pear and tart kiwi. This batch of Fun w/ Foudre has a funky complexity and a long dry finish.
