Our summer version of Iwakisan takes a bold new turn—one we’ve never tried before. Inspired by years of curiosity around spruce tip beers, Gareth finally got the chance to experiment when Kyoto Brewing Company kindly helped us source fresh spruce tips from Hokkaido.Rather than going the usual hop-forward IPA or pale ale route, we went in a completely different direction—a low ABV milk stout that allows the spruce tips to shine in a unique and subtle way.The result is a smooth, slightly sweet stout with floral, piney, and gently cooling notes layered on top of roasted malts and single origin chocolate character.This is a one-of-a-kind beer you may never come across again—if you're curious, don’t miss your chance!
