Marzen-Style Lager w/ Kernza & Jungle Blossom HoneyKenza is a perennial grain harvested from wheatgrass, which has gained some popularity in brewing in recent years due to its unique nutty, toasty flavor and high degree of sustainability. We opted for a malt-forward German style Marzen as the base, with a hefty addition of Kernza on top of some local Admiral Maltings Munich and Pilsner malts. We also included some delicious jungle blossom honey to the whirlpool to compliment the nutty character of the Kernza. Though maybe not the most traditional Marzen out there, we think it brings some pretty cool flavors together in a great way.
