The beer is the 2019 collaboration we did with Spark's Brewing. The first batch of this beer was brewed in 2018 and won a Top 30 at the New World Beer & Cider Awards. Due to lockdown's in 2020 we ended up with a few more kegs than we would have liked so we decided to put some of the kegs into barrel. This particular barrel came from a friend of ours who imports Laws Whiskey from Colorado, USA. The barrel is number 489, and is a Rye Whiskey barrel. This barrel was filled with this stout on 24th July 2020, so has had nearly 4 years in the barrel. It has changed a lot and the Rye Whiskey and the barrel have had a large influence on the flavour. Prepare yourself for a massive chewy complex beer experience.
