Our fifth Perry! As old, and perhaps older than cider made from apples, Perry is another traditional beverage from the Old World made with all pears. As with the others so far, our fifth batch is made with a blend of local PA pears from our friends at Weaver's Orchard. Harvested in 2023, pressed and fermented, then aged for 13 months in stainless, and then an additional 10 months in a 2nd use Apple Brandy Barrel from Manatawny Still Works. Apple Brandy Barrel Perry V drinks clean and smooth with a subtle sweetness, some lovely barrel character, and fresh ripe pear notes throughout. All pears, one more time!
