HoneyBush Red Ale

One for the malt lovers! A full-bodied red ale infused with sweet & earthy Honeybush Tea – a simple but delicious formula. We brewed the beer with a high mash temperature to ensure more un-fermentable malt sugars were left in the beer – that’s what helps target full body-ness. We used an English Ale yeast which generally ferment less total malt sugars. For this one we’ve chosen malts that both lean toward that full bodied experience, and also add those gorgeous ruby red colours. Playing on this malty backbone (Sister to the Rooibos plant) is the Honeybush tea which is slightly sweeter and darker in colour – we added a heap of it to the whirlpool of this brew to provide the fantastic appearance.
