Pours a burnished copper/ Golden colour, with dense white head. Very strong coffee notes on the nose, with a hint of dark choc and raisins. The body is smooth, with a hint of toffee, white chocolate and honey malt coming through, finishing quite dry with a strong black coffee/dark chocolate biterness. It sits at 6.2% with an IBU (Calc) of 39.9...although perception is much stronger.The Coffee used was a select blend of two different brazilian varieties, roasted specifically for this beer. Brazilian Meloso and Blue Diamond roast 0002. We used them in an approx 2:1 blend, allowing the rich dark chocolate and raisin of the Meloso to shine, with the more subtle white choc of the blue diamond adding to the body character.
